Volunteer of the Month - January 2016
Masoud was born and raised in Tehran. After obtaining his B.A. degree in Economics from the University of Tehran, he started his career in the field of procurement of goods and services for electrical projects and later on continued his profession in financial management of oil, gas and petrochemical projects.
“All through those years I followed my dream to share my experiences and achievements in various areas with others in my personal and professional life. Due to the nature of my work, I had to communicate with international sources in English and; therefore, communication in English was one of those areas where I could help others.”
“When I moved to Canada in 2008, I continued following the same path and soon I found out that the best way to reach that goal was getting involved in volunteer activities. That was the reason I joined ISC as a volunteer translator / interpreter. Since then, benefitting from valuable guidelines of dedicated managers and ISC staff, I have been able to help a number of newcomers in Canada to resolve their language problems while beginning their new life here.”
“This has been a great opportunity for me to give back to the community and share my experience with people who I hope might have found it helpful. Thank you ISC!”
Congratulations Masoud!
