Job Posting: Advanced Literacy and Essential Skills in the Workplace Facilitators 
 
We are looking for Oral Communication, Business Writing, and Critical Thinking Facilitators to join our project: Advanced Literacy and Essential Skills in the Workplace. This project is geared towards newcomer professionals in the IT industry, and aims to help them develop their abilities in 3 Essential Skills: Oral Communication, Writing and Critical Thinking.
The facilitators will play a key role in designing, delivering and evaluating training activities related to Literacy and Essential Skills. If you are an exceptional facilitator, with experience working with newcomers to Canada, and want to help them excel in their careers, then you are the candidate we need. Experience in Adult Literacy and Essential Skills is a bonus!
 
Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: this position requires a high degree of interaction with varied individuals from different cultural groups
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and applying classroom and e-learning strategies, and a sound knowledge of cutting-edge learning technology
  • Sound knowledge of adult education principles, and experience applying them to course design and delivery
  • Ability to think creatively, work independently and deliver high-quality work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work as part of a diverse design team, while taking ownership of tasks and running projects independently.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive
Education and Experience
A completed University Degree or College Diploma in a related discipline, and a minimum of two years of direct work in adult education and/or training.
