Immigrant Seniors Book Launch: A Colourful Life

Poetry can be a form of art therapy and language development.

Today we're excited to launch "A Colourful Life" - a collection of poems and stories written by Immigrant Seniors. The event was commemorated by the Honourable Josephine Pon, Minister of Seniors and Housing with Government of Alberta. A total of 15 seniors participated in the project, creating a sparkling jewel that reflects our country's beautiful cultural mosaic and the wisdom that seniors share from across the world. We'd like to thank the seniors who contributed to the project, as well as members of Mount Royal University who edited their works and provided feedback. "A Colourful Life" was made possible through funding provided by the City of Calgary – Your Local Government family & community support services.
