Immigrant Services Calgary invites you to be part of the 24th Immigrants of Distinction Awards (IDA) as we recognize the mosaic of ethnicities, languages, cultures, and talents that create a strong and prosperous Canada.
Since 1997, the Immigrants of Distinction Awards has used the power of story-telling to recognize the talent, excellence and positive impact that immigrants and refugees have on our local community and on Canada’s prosperity. The IDA has come to be a highly sought-after event, attracting prominent business leaders and dignitaries from all levels of government as well as the non-profit sector.

What to expect at the 2020 IDA
Entertainment: Cultural music and dance performances! Prizes and raffles! Hot food and the city's premier awards ceremony for immigrants!
Tickets:General seating will be assigned based on order of purchase. Tickets and seating assignments will be available upon arrival at the event.
Location:The Bella Concert Hall is located in the Taylor Centre for the Performing Arts at the East Gate of the Mount Royal University campus, 18 Mount Royal Circle SW, Calgary.
Parking:Please provide sufficient time to find parking at the University. Recommended parking lots are 6A, 7, 8, East Gate Parkade and Riddell Learning and Library Centre parkade. A map is provided for your convenience.
Dress code:The event is a formal affair. Black tie, business formal or formal ethnic attire is appropriate.
Program: The event will take place Friday, March 13, 2020 from 5:30-10:00.
- 5:30 pm - Networking (cash bar and light hors d'oeuvres)
- 6:00 pm - Seating
- 6:30 pm - Awards ceremony
- 8:15 pm - Networking Reception (cash bar and hors d'oeuvres)

Funds raised during the evening will provide immigrants and refugees with the vital support needed to successfully integrate and become valued contributors to Canadian society.
