Gurpreet moved to Canada with her family in August 2015. Moving to a new country to start a new life is never easy, but her family received friends’ support which helped them to integrate faster

Sebastian is a talented graphic designer, passionate to help people. After working in Seoul, South Korea and Tokyo, Japan for 15 years, he decided to move to Canada 9 years ago.

Sebastian’s career allowed him to share his abilities to support good causes. At Immigrant Services Calgary, he joined the Volunteer Program in 2014 and has contributed over 160 hours since, in various capacities: assisting workshops, helping ISC’s Seniors’ Program, or designing various printed materials.

A believer in rendering selfless service to the community, Enitan has always been passionate about helping others. Her professional experience includes teaching kindergarten to grade 3 children, as well as working in Human Services with people with disabilities.

Majid moved to Canada from Iran in 2015. He is an Oil and Gas professional whose international experience in the field ranges from Operations to Engineering. Through his travels, Majid had continuously welcomed the nation of change. Yet, he knew that immigrating to Canada would not be easy.

Born and raised in Oman’s port capital, Muscat, Amina moved from this picturesque country in the Middle East to Canada just over a year ago.

She has fulfilled various managerial roles at HSBC Oman for over a decade and left her home country to join her husband, but Canada never felt foreign to Amina.

“Since my moving, I have never felt like I moved to a new country as an immigrant and that is because of the warmth and love I have received from the people here.

Giang was born and raised in the tropical country of Vietnam, in Southeast Asia. After achieving a Bachelor Degree in Business, she worked for more than 15 years for various esteemed organizations in the region.

In 2013 Giang and her family decided to move to Canada, and in 2014 they made Calgary their home. A kind and generous nature, Giang decided to join the Volunteer Program at Immigrant Services Calgary (ISC) to return the support that she and her family received when coming to the city
